What we do
"We are each other's harvest; we are each other's business; we are each other's magnitude and bond." -Gwendolyn Brooks
The OneTrenton Project believes that communities are the best experts on what they need to thrive. Therefore, OneTrenton works hard to involve the community in everything we do. Community members help to brainstorm ideas, plan and execute events, and bring people together.

phoenix Art engagement
Thomas Mann once said, "Art is to the community what the dream is to an individual." At the OneTrenton Project, we embrace this idea. Through community art projects we have been able to bring people of all ages together, and breathe life and beauty into formerly hardened places.

poetry in protest
The OneTrenton Project is also committed to combating police brutality and social injustice of all kinds. Poetry in Protest is a campaign that was started in response to the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO. The campaign seeks to raise awareness about issues of social justice and inequality while using various arts mediums to present social commentary on these issues. Proceeds from the campaign are put towards the OneTrenton Project's logistical support of victims of police brutality and the development of a Civilian Complaint Review Board in the city of Trenton.
